Special Agent Klotz began his current assignment as the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Assistant Attaché Vancouver in July 2018, where he has operational and programmatic oversight over all HSI activities in British Columbia and Yukon Territories.  Prior to his assignment in Vancouver, Robert was a section chief at an international task force in Washington D.C. where he supervised investigations into Eastern Hemisphere transnational organized crime.  Prior to that assignment, Robert supervised HSI’s national programs for dark web investigations and computer intrusion investigations.  Before joining HSI Headquarters, Robert supervised HSI Seattle’s counter-proliferation group where he led worldwide undercover investigations countering international proliferation networks. Robert also has extensive experience conducting money laundering and drug trafficking investigations.
